Fit Fix: Oscar Pistorius Convicted of Murder, Faces Up to 15 Years in Prison

Pistorius Convicted
South Africa's Supreme Court found him guilty of murder.

Oscar Pistorius Guilty: South Africa's Supreme Court found Oscar Pistorius guilty of murder in the shooting death of his girlfriend, Reeva Steenkamp, in his apartment on Valentine's Day in 2013. Pistorius, the double-amputee track star who earned fame as the "Blade Runner," had been previously convicted of manslaughter by a lower court. “I have no doubt that in firing the fatal shots the accused must have foreseen that whoever was behind the toilet door might die,” Judge Lorimer Eric Leach read in the court's decision from a five-judge panel. Leach said Pistorius was responsible for the "Shakespearean" tragedy. [The Wall Street Journal]

Steph Curry Will Not Be Stopped: If he was hot before, he's utterly incendiary now. The reigning NBA MVP scored 40 points last night—28 of them in the third quarter—powering the Golden State Warriors to a 116-99 crushing of the Charlotte Hornets and an unprecedented 20-0 record. [ESPN]

"Dirty Thunderstorm": Italian photographer Marco Restivo snapped this jaw-dropping photo (and several others) of the volcanic eruption at the Voragine crater of Mount Etna, on the east coast of Sicily.

More FIFA Arrests: Swiss authorities launched another series of predawn raids against as many as sixteen people in the American-led investigation into corruption among the highest echelons of international soccer, The New York Times reported. The charges include racketeering, money laundering and fraud, authorities told the Times. Either way, we're looking forward to the next time some British prankster throws fake money at Sepp Blatter during a news conference.

New Dawn of Justice Trailer: If we learned one thing from the new trailer for Batman vs. Superman: Dawn of Justice, it's that Bruce Wayne and Clark Kent (and their respective caped personas) aren't afraid to get a little meta in this movie, even if it means they'll both get upstaged by Jesse Eisenberg's Lex Luthor. If we learned anything else, it's that Wonder Woman (played by Gal Gadot) is awesome. (Also: Doomsday!) [Variety]
