PB + Caffeine
A delicious alternative (or addition to) your daily coffee.

Coffee addicts rejoice: You now have a new option for consuming caffeine, and it comes in the form of a protein-packed snack.

A company called Steem has created peanut butter that contains caffeine, protein and electrolytes.

After pondering over possible hangover cures, owners Chris Pettazzoni and Keith Barnofski came up with the idea of an enhanced peanut butter. "It came from my pure love of caffeine and peanut butter, really,'' Pettazzoni told TODAY.com

Two tablespoons of Steem’s peanut butter is about the equivalent of two cups of coffee.

"STEEM is designed to provide a consistent release of sustained energy, and the naturally slow digestion of peanut butter is the key to that," their website reads.

Ingredients include peanut oil, salt, peanuts, agave nectar, and green coffee extract as a source of caffeine.

Jars are sold for $4.99 on Steem’s website, and can be found at select stores and gyms in Massachusetts, California, Arizona and Florida.
