Fit Fix: Big Beers Wanna Get Bigger, UFC Fighter Slapped With Ban, and James Harden Makes a Sneaker Blunder

Beer Glut
The U.S.'s biggest brewers are mulling a merger.

Morning, dudes. Here's the latest in guy stuff for Wednesday, September 16:

Beer Glut?: SABMiller (the makers of beers like Miller Lite and Coors Lite) was approached by Anheuser-Busch InBev (the makers of Bud and Bud Light) for a possible corporate takeover, potentially uniting the biggest brewers in the U.S. under one, uh, cooler lid. [Wall Street Journal]

Swoosh Whoops: You know something's up when Houston Rockets star James Harden goes on a date with Khloe Kardashian and everyone's talking about his shoes. Harden was photographed wearing Nike Air Jordans (and some snazzy socks) in the photo, even though last month he signed a 13-year, $200 million deal with...Adidas. [Bleacher Report]

Nick Diaz Suspended: The welterweight UFC fighter was suspended and fined $165,000 Monday after he submitted his third positive positive drug test—for marijuana in his system. If the suspension stands, he could be out of the octagon in the U.S. until 2020. [Kotaku]

"Share a Coke" Joke: Coca-Cola's online "Share a Coke" campaign, which lets people customize the labels on the world's biggest sugary soda, was hijacked by a health advocacy group to create bottles emblazoned with “Share a Coke with Obesity”—until the soft-drink giant shut it down.

THC From Yeast?: Speaking of pot, researchers in Germany say they've succeeded in creating THC—the chemical compound in marijuana that gets you high—from a specially engineered strain of yeast. [Science Alert]

Fight Depression With Fish: Eating fish can help lower a guy's risk of depression by 20%, according to a scientific review published in The Journal of Epidemiology and Community Health. The researchers aren't sure why it happens, but it could have something to do with omega-3 fatty acids and their effects on neurotransmitters like serotonin and dopamine. [Yahoo! Health]
